Savannah, Jekyll Island & Beaufort Tour Itinerary April 18-24, 2027
Day 1: Sunday, April 18
Board your spacious, video and restroom equipped Motor coach and set off for beautiful Savannah, Georgia! Tonight, check into an en route hotel for a good night's rest.
Day 2: Monday, April 19
Enjoy a continental breakfast and continue your journey. After a leisurely dinner you will check into a Savannah hotel for a four night stay. (B, D)
Day 3: Tuesday, April 20
Following a continental breakfast you will start your journey with a guided trolley tour of Savannah, the “Belle of Georgia.” You’ll see extraordinary architectural marvels, beautiful oak-lined streets and lovely “town squares.” You will then have hop-on/hop-off privileges on the trolley for the rest of the day. Enjoy free time on historic River Street, featuring unique 18th century “ballast stone” streets and 19th century cotton warehouses that are now home to fine eateries, unusual shops and antique galleries. Tonight, you’ll enjoy dinner with entertainment before returning to your hotel for the evening. (B,D)
Day 4: Wednesday, April 21
Today, you'll have a continental breakfast and will depart for a guided tour of St. Simons Island. Take a stroll among moss-draped oaks or shop at the interesting boutiques and specialty shops in the historic area. Later, you’ll take a guided tram tour of Jekyll Island. See how the nation’s wealthiest citizens like J.P. Morgan and William Rockefeller lived and played – including a stop at what was once the exclusive “Millionaires Club.” After Dinner, you’ll enjoy an evening show at the famous Savannah Theatre, then return to your hotel to rest for another fun-filled day. Day 5: Thursday, April 22
After enjoying a continental breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of magnificent Beaufort, SC - “Queen of the Carolina Sea Islands”. Beaufort’s history dates as far back as the 1500’s. Its striking mansions and scenery served as the backdrop for several major motion pictures including “The Big Chill” and “Forrest Gump”. You’ll also visit the Port Royal Sound Maritime Museum to discover the region’s distinctive coastal ecosystem, as well as the Cypress Wetlands Rookery – a wildlife preserve where you can see local birds and marine life up close. Tonight, enjoy a nice Dinner before returning to your hotel for the evening. (B,D)
Day 6: Friday, April 23
After packing your bags and enjoying a continental breakfast, you will depart for a visit to the Cannonball House and Museum in Macon, Georgia. This evening, relax at your en route hotel. (B)
Day 7: Saturday, April 24
Today after enjoying a continental breakfast, you depart for home. A perfect time to share some Dad jokes, sleep, chat with your seat mates , play bingo, watch a movie share photos of all the great sights you've seen, fill out Ellen’s detailed tour survey, plan what kind of ice cream you want at the next stop, and discuss all of the fun you had and where you want to head next!
